Privacy Policy & SMS Terms

We never sell, rent, or share your information for anyone else's marketing. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the store, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Orders: your name, email and shipping address, and your phone number if you give it to us with an in-person purchase. Card details are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers.
Joining our list: your name, email, country, and in the US an optional ZIP code, plus an optional US phone number. Each join request also records your IP address and browser, kept for up to 30 days while the request is pending or recently completed.
Waitlists: your name and email, and your phone number if you give it.
Messages you send us, for example to info@1111.berlin.
Text-message consent: when you agree to receive texts, we record the exact wording you agreed to, your IP address, your browser, and the time, and keep them with the opt-in as evidence of your consent.
Site analytics: a first-party vid visitor cookie (expires after 30 days without a visit), the astro-session cookie that holds your bag (30 days), and a 30-day ref cookie when you arrive through a referral link. With these we record the pages you view, what you add to your bag, list signups and waitlist joins as events, and we link a purchase to the visit that led to it, along with your country, device type, the site that referred you, your landing page, campaign (UTM) tags, and which privately shared wholesale link was opened.
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps standard request logs.

How we use it

To take, ship and support your orders.
To send you our emails and, only if you opted in, text messages that we send ourselves.
To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
To credit referral partners for orders they referred. Partners see the date, amount and code of those orders — never who placed them.

We never sell, rent, or share your information for anyone else's marketing. These service providers process it only to run the store:

Stripe — payments and sales tax.
Resend — sending our emails.
Google Workspace — our inbox.
Google Fonts — some of our fonts load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details when they do.
Cloudflare — hosting, storage and analytics.
Pirate Ship and the shipping carrier — shipping labels and delivery.
When we start sending texts, an SMS provider to deliver them.

Text messages (SMS Terms)

The 1111 BERLIN text program sends recurring automated marketing messages, such as offers and new arrivals, to people who opted in. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to stop receiving texts at any time.
Reply HELP for help, or email info@1111.berlin.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Your choices

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
Email and text preferences are separate: unsubscribing from one does not change the other.
Email info@1111.berlin to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. When you unsubscribe, we stop messaging you but keep your email address — and, for texts, the record of your opt-in or opt-out — so we can honour that choice. Otherwise, list information is kept until you ask us to delete it.

Consent records are kept even if you ask us to delete your profile, because they are how we prove we respected your choice. Deleting a profile also opts its number out of texts when that number had opted in and no other profile on our list uses it. After an opt-out, signing up for texts on our website will not turn them back on for that number; to receive texts again, send us a request we can verify or — once our texts are running — reply START by text.

California

Do Not Track: our site does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals.
Tracking across sites: we do not allow third parties to track your activity across other websites for advertising. Google Fonts and Cloudflare receive technical request data when pages load, and Stripe's checkout pages are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Changes: when we change this policy we update the effective date above; for significant changes we will also tell list members by email.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
